Account paid-up but still reflecting as in arrears

I had an account with Direct Axis, it went onto arrears but managed to pay-off the account and close it. I was supp**** with the paid-up letter as well. <br> I was applying for something yesterday and I found out that my account still with their legal department and I am not sure why? <br> I am not getting any help from them regarding this. <br>
