Waiting for my laptop

On 21 February 2017 I took my Asus laptop to Dion Wired, The Grove for repairs as the laptop was still under warranty. I was told that the repairs would be done in 21 working days. This means I should’ve received my laptop back on 23 March 2017 at the latest. On 23 March 2017 I received an SMS from ********** 765 saying that my unit is ‘under evaluation’. I took this to mean that the repairs were finished and were being evaluated. I thought that I would receive my laptop back in the next few days, however this was the final communication from them. On 30 March 2017 I phoned the 086 number as per the SMSes I had received. The lady who answered said that the person who could help me was out on lunch, I told her that this was the only time I had available to phone. After a long wait she transferred me to her manager. He told me that they were waiting for parts from Dubai and since I waited more than 21 days I would receive a replacement laptop and that he would arrange for the data of my old laptop to be transferred to the new laptop and would phone me back (he did not). Why was I not notified that they were waiting for parts on 23 March 2017 when the 21 days were over in the first place? 31 March 2017 I phoned Dion Wired The Grove to inquire about my laptop. The lady phoned me back after a while saying I must come to the store on Monday for my replacement laptop as the people working with this was not there. I only went to the store on Tuesday (4 April 2017) as I worked late on Monday. At the store the story was suddenly different, they were going to refund me the R 5000 I paid for the laptop. I explained that I could not accept this as the laptop was on promotion when I bought it and the value was R 7000 at the time, therefore I will not be able to buy the same laptop with a 1TB harddrive, Intel Core i13 etc for R 5000. I then spoke to Benji at the Dion Wired Store The Grove who said that he would speak to the guys at Incredible Solution and phone me back before 12:00 the next day. He seemed sincere and professional, but I guess he is not as it is two days later and still has not phoned me back. I also phoned the store yesterday during my lunch break, the lady said that the people working with this would phone me back, but of course they didn’t. It is shocking to me that a well known Store such as Dion Wired is this reckless and unprofessional. It seems like they are trying everything to keep from replacing my laptop. I am really disgusted, If I had known that this is how they operate I would have gone to Hi-Fi Corporation who had the same laptop for a R 1000 more at the time.
