Unable to return faulty laptop after numerous attempts.

I purchased my laptop on the 5th of May 2017. It was one of 12 Asus i5 7th gen laptops. Within the first week of use I relized the laptop was getting remarkably slower. The disk kept running on 100% and after a couple more uses the laptop was literally unusable. It froze and took unreasonably long to open and run programs. This continued for a few days whichafter the laptop crashed completely. One was unable to boot from the hard drive and was only able to acces the bios. I then tried everything I could think of. This included flashing windows 10 again, starting the laptop in safe mode, etc. After no luck I took the laptop to Dion Wired , Somerset West Mall, in Cape Town. The technician then also tried everything he could think of but was unable to accomplish anything.

I then returned to Pretoria and got in contact with Incredible Solutions who collected the laptop and tried to fix it. After a while of "waiting for a new hard drive" I finally received my laptop back on the 4th of August 2017. The laptop booted up and did exactly the same. The disk kept running at 100% and I was not even able to browse Microsoft Edge without waiting 5 minutes for the browser to open.

Once again I visited a Dion Wired shop, The Grove. All I wanted was a refund, however, they refused and collected the laptop to be sent in once again. This meant that for the 3 months that I had owned the Asus laptop for, I have literally only worked on it for about two weeks max.

Throughout this whole process I have never receive a laptop or any computer to use while my laptop is being looked at or offered a new one.

Thus, all I would like to know is the following; why on earth does the laptop have to be sent in so many times? Please don't tell me it's the procedure! Why can't I receive a refund, the product is obvioulsy faulty and it seems like nothing is being done about it. Lastly, how long will it take before I receive a proper reply on this matter.
