Took afternoon off, waited 3 hours, no delivery

I bought a dishwasher on Sunday and was promised delivery the following day. I wouldn't have paid over R400 for delivery if this promise wasn't made as I would have organised to collect it myself.<br> <br> After taking the afternoon off from work (no easy accomplishment) I waited until almost 18h00 (that's 3 hours) and no one arrived. After calling the store they told me that it wouldn't be delivered that day (blaming the courier, obviously), and that it would then come the next day sometime between 08h00 and 10h30. So I now need to take the morning off work - clearly costing me way more than the delivery itself. Let's hope.<br> <br> So I am complaining that:<br> 1. I was made a false promise by the store in order to sell me a delivery fee<br> 2. I've had to take off double the amount of time from work that I planned<br> 3. No one called to tell me that the appliance wouldn't be delivered (Dion Wired clearly just thinks I have nothing better to do than wait at home for their delivery vehicle that may or may not arrive)<br> 4. When I called to enquire about where the delivery was, I was promised to be called back within 5 minutes - I had to call them back after 20 minutes to follow-up<br> <br> Terrible service all round.
