Send faulty kettle for repair???
What a terrible experience at the Cresta branch. I bought a Russell Hobbs kettle in March 2018. It's broken as the lid won't open. I was told by an extremely rude branch manager Lebo that I had to wait for 3 to 4 weeks to hear the " Verdict" as to whether the kettle broken due to wear and tear or did I break it on purpose. The kettle has to be sent to the manufacturer for examination for the reason why it broke. Really a kettle. They will also decide if they can repair it, or replace it or refund me. I was not told all of this when I bought my well known brand kettle, that was not cheap since I was looking for quality, something that will last. In the meantime I am supposed to wait for 3 - 4 weeks without a kettle. Whatever the outcome I will never shop at Dion Wired again, nor will I recommend anyone to shop there EVER. The manager is so rude I am not surprised that the store is always empty. Who would want to shop there. Their return policy is laughable. I also phoned their customer service complaints department in Durban. The person was just a rude as Lebo and did not assist me in any way. Must be their on the job training - be rude and never help a customer. I have bought many small appliances at Clicks, Game and Pick'nPay. I have never had such a bad experience when returning a faulty item. I never had to wait 3 to 4 weeks. I was either given a refund or a new item. That will teach me to shop at Dion Wired and buy a expensive brand like Russell Hobbs. Never EVER again. I wait in anticipation what the " Verdict" is on my kettle.
