Selling Broken Television
On the 24th of November my mother went to Dion wired(Durban Pavillion) in the middle of the night to purchase a new TV because of the black Friday special . After finally paying for the television around 4am in the morning she asked that they keep the television for her as it was risky for her carrying a television in the dark . When she came back 5 pm the same day they had sold the television to some one else and they said they was out of stock ( HOW DID THEY SELL AN ALREADY PAID TV TO SOMEONE ELSE ???). Initially my mother had bought the TV at 4am in the morning and now they changed the invoice to 5pm in the afternoon ( *******ion if you ask me !!) . She was told that they will phone her on Monday , Monday come and no call . Tuesday she decided to go back there and they said they still had no stock ( WHY WAS SHE NOT UPDATED ????) . The pavilion phoned Gateway and gateway said they had stock , she could come there to fetch the TV , meaning she now had to drive using her own petrol and time to fetch the television that was suppose to be at the Pavilion . On arrival at Gateway she got the television and was asked if she had home insurance which she said she did . When she left she was asked to check the television for cracks which she checked . On arrival at home the television did not work , it showed a gold and black line line . She took the television back to gateway and was advised that they could not fix it as it was own damage . My mother never dropped the television and it was never switched on at the store to check it was working . Dion refuses to replace the television and my retired mother is stressed out as she borrowed the R 10 000 to purchase this telvision . Dion refuses to help her at any way . There are so may things Dion Wired did wrong in this case and its a disgrace that they took advantage of an elderly woman , they have no compassion at all .
