Samsung Qled tv

On the 24th December 2017 I had purchased a Samsung 55" QLED tv from the Dion wired gateway store. In store the tv was removed from the box. There were 2 foam strips on either side of the screen which was not removed along with the screen protector. Tv was put on and picture was shown which is fine. So took the tv home installed the tv and removed those 2 foam strips from either side of the screen to find under the right hand side foam strip had something that looked like a air bubble so not thinking much of it I removed the screen protector and once that was removed this air bubble look alike turned into a a crack that resembled a star. Obviously the screen protector had been holding this intact so it would've never been seen as a crack. I looked at it in shock as this was supposed to be a brand new tv. I got home at 11:15am that morning and after 12 this was seen and I had given the store a call and they respond in a manner as if I broke this screen. Say to me that I must claim from my household insurance which is ***** because this event never took place under my care. Then they give me attitude and tell me how highly trained the staff is to check for this things. But if they were then those strips should've been removed in the store. I returned the tv the same afternoon sacrificing my Christmas eve afternoon. Untill today which is the 3rd January 2018 I have received no feedback what so ever. After some investigating I found the very same case that happened to another person in the johannesburg region. So this is not just a once off thing but has happened before. This is a out of box failure and refund or replacement unit should have been given yet now I sit with no tv. I have complained to numerous people including customer care where the lady spoke to me in such a bad attitude. If this is how they choose to run the business and treat customers then I'm afraid that this has to be taken on every social media site as well as the papers in order for people to know what kind of service to expect from these people. I do not wish to give Dion wired gateway any business ever again nor would I advise anyone to purchase anything from them.
