Pathetic Warranty Support at DionWired, and Incredible Solutions

I purchased a Lenovo laptop at DionWired Centurion Lifestyle, in March last year. Experienced problems with the screen in December already.

When I contacted Dion, I was told that they work through Incredible Solutions, who facilitate the 3 year warranty.

Their first response was that the mark on my screen was physical damage caused by me, and they quoted me an astronomical amount (a quarter of the value of the laptop) to repair it. Their consultants even admitted to me that the charge was way more than I would pay for the same repair elsewhere.

I've had to drive out a good distance to their store in Menlyn to oppose this and try to get some help on a problem that occurred within one year of the warranty, on damage that was not caused by me.

At the store, the attitude was absolutely laissez-faire, and I was simply told to come and fetch my laptop if I didn't want to pay the quoted amount, or pay a further rejection fee if they took it in.

This is totally unacceptable service!

I have since consulted with other computer repair services, who have confirmed that Dion and their warranty company cannot simply state that I caused the damage to the screen, as the mark on it could have occurred from a fault.

I've incurred so much of costs in contacting Dion, Lenovo, and Incredible Solutions to solve this issue. In addition, there have been transport costs, and the cost of getting a replacement laptop to work on, since the store could not even provide me with one.

As a loyal customer, who's spent a good deal of money at your store, Dion, I expect much better than this.

If the hardware is not covered in your warranty, at least state that at the time of purchase. I would've taken my business elsewhere.

And if you cannot process my repair, your store certainly owes me compensation for all this frustration.

I look forward to your response.

Very Frustrated Customer.
