Pathetic Service from Dion Wired Canal Walk

I bought a Delonghi kettle and toaster set for R3400.00 at Dion Wired Canal Walk in Octpber, 2015. During the week of 17 July the power switch on the kettle started giving problems. I tool the unit in to Dion Wired Canal Walk and spoke to the manager on duty, Lance. Explained the situation, and after much frustration he indicated very sarcasticly, well the unit is out of warranty. Needless to say that Lance has absolutely no customer servce s****s...I said fine, where do I take the kettle for repairs? He gave me the details of Brandon at Delonghi who according to him will assist. I gave Brandon a call on Monday 24 July, and from that interaction I learnt that they do not stock parts for the kettle in South Africa. I made double sure that this is what he said...

I then went back to Dion Wired the evening of Monday, 24 July and this time spoke to Riedwaan who promised to take the matter further. I held back on this complaint largely because of my interaction with Riedwaan, who promised to resolve the matter. However, to date I've had 2 calls from Riedwaan, but no resolution.

What frustrates me about this situation is, as the customer, all I want to do is have the kettle repaired? In the meantime Dion Wired continues to carry stock of this product on their floor, knowing full well that there are no repair parts for them in SA. I've now reached the end of my patience, and will be taking the matter as high and far as I can, both from a consumer protection and customer service perspective. It cannot be right that the customer is good for the sale, but when after-sales service is called upon, it's fairly much non-existent.
