No TV for a month or more??
In December we bought a Samsung 43 inch HD TV from Dion Wired in Kolonnade. On Monday 16 April, 2018 the screen went dead and the TV did not want to come back on. There had been no power surge or anything as all the other appliances in the house was fine. When we took it back to the store, requesting a refund or replacement, we were told that the unit first had to be sent off for assessment, a process which can take 3-4 weeks to complete. We are now completely without a television FOR A MONTH and yet we thought we were buying a trustworthy brand from a trustworthy store. Worse yet is that we were not even offered any alternatives for the meantime, in fact it looked like staff were used to dealing with faulty products being returned on a regular basis and offered no apology. This is not a broken remote or something that doesn't have batteries, it is something that I spent nearly R7000 cash on and yet now somehow it is my problem and my problem alone that Dion Wired and Samsung supp**** us with a faulty unit. I want the refund to which I am entitled according to the Consumer Protection Act so that I can go somewhere else and buy a replacement TV.
