False Advertising - Grand Birthday Celebration

<p>On Friday 23 June I visited Dion Wired in The Grove Mall to purchase the 50" Samsung UHD LED TV (model 50KU7000) and Samsung 2.2 Channel Soundbar (model HW-J250) combo. During the below events, both Mathys Bezuidenhout and the store manager (I cant remember her name) assisted me.</p> <p>When providing me with the boxed items on the floor, I noticed that the 2.2. Channel Soundbar does not come with a seperate Sub-Woofer (not to mention 2 as the x.2 is indicative of) - refer to the definition of these standards here: https://www.lifewire.com/what-is-1-in-surround-sound- ********** </p> <p>Mathys then called over the manager as I was skeptical of the product being 2.2 channel as there were no Sub-Woofers included. The manager proceeded to call her supplier who assured her that the woofers were built-in. I accepted the explanation and determined that I would see for myself (as I am entitle to return the product within 10 days of purchase according to Dion Wired's Terms & Conditions as published on their website http://www.dionwired.co.za/terms-and-conditions/). </p> <p>Upon unboxing at home I noticed that the packaging of the unit clearly states that it is only 2.0 Channel. This was further enforced by testing the unit as there was no discernable bass to be heard from the unit when playing sound sourced from the TV or external music (even when adjusting the unit's "Woofer Level"). I came to the conclusion that the bass supp**** by the unit is by means of digitally enhancing the audio source as opposed to playing the bass through a separate channel as is the norm.</p> <p>This is clearly indicative of false advertising by Dion Wired, and I am sure that I am not the only person whom has bought this bundle.</p> <p>I look forward to hearing from Dion Wired in this regard of False Advertising.</p>
