Don't buy laptops from Dion Wired

I bought a laptop from Dion Wired Gateway last year, June 2015. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15 i3 with a 1 terabyte hard drive, a 12 month McAfee antivirus and a 12 month. Firstly, the day I bought the laptop, they had given me the wrong laptop with a 500 gigabyte hard drive and with no antivirus. When I realised this, I went to return it. The staff was absolutely unhelpful and I had reported it to the manager and it seemed to go to vain. When they finally gave me the correct laptop, I open it in the shop to check if it was the correct one. The laptop that was given to me was looking suspicious as it already had the antivirus installed and there was a tiny hole above the keyboard. When I enquired about it, the staff had informed me that the antivirus comes installed and the tiny hole was a mic.

It has recently be discovered that the laptop sold to me had been refurbished and was not brand new. In May 2016, I discovered a problem with the laptop and then went to Dion Wired to send it for repairs. I bought the laptop in June 2015 with a one year warranty which supposed to expire in June 2016. It was then discovered that the warranty had expired in December 2015.

According to the sales rep, the warranty activated when the laptop left the Dell warehouse. The day I bought the laptop, I was not informed of this at all. I was told that I have a one year warranty that expires in June 2016 and if I have a technical difficulties I should bring it in.

It is suggested not to buy a laptop from any of these stores as they just want to make money from innocent people with informing them properly of the product. It is better to buy it directly from Dell or other brands. I am a university student and paid R6000 for this laptop. This is a lot of money for me as I had to work part time to be able to afford this laptop. I have never had a problem like this, especially with Dion Wired but I am utterly disappointed now.
