Dionwireds laptops warranty company's dishonesty and not care attitude
Good day
Trust you are well. In March of 2016 I bought a Dell 5558 I7 laptop form your Boksburg store and registered for the warranty with Incredible solutions.
In October 2017 the laptop subsequently fell of a table and broke and took it to Incredible solutions in Germiston for it to be sorted and repaired. Below is the full story.
I took a dell 5558 Inspiron I7 to incredible solutions offices on the 20 October 2017 with everything except the charger and the hard drive originally for damage to the body, screen of the laptop. The motherboard did survive the fall.
After many requests over a month I did not receive a quote from Prince.
After I spoke to Carlos, eventually I was sent a quote that I accepted and paid the amount of R 4297.81 to incredible solutions. I then have been speaking to Bonke who said he was the manager there.
He came back to my house three times, see below
After the repair was completed Bonke came to my premises to drop off the laptop, only to discover that there was missing ram,
He came again to find that the motherboard was an Dell Inspiron I5 instead of and Dell Inspiron I7.
He came back later that week with my motherboard and found that the hard drive did not work in my laptop.
I then went to your premises again to take the hard drive there so he could test it and found that my motherboard was not working.
When he returned the laptop to me on the 21 December 2017 as "repaired" (with returnable ram and hard drive). The computer had the following problems:
- The motherboard is still a Dell Inspiron I5 instead of a Dell Inspiron I7 - My graphics card is missing (mine is a Nvidia G force 920m 4GB and not a Radeon). - There are four missing *****s to my laptop. Two that hold the Hard drive and two that hold the under case on. - The screen is faulty as coloured lines appears on it and it does not always work.
I then went back to their premises on 17 January 2018 where Bonke *********ly tried to pass somebody else's motherboard as mine. He tried to say that my motherboard was missing one of its chips that was caused by the fall of the laptop and it was latter discovered that the place of the missing chip the body of the laptop is not damaged.
In March of 2018 after yet more complaints to them they came back to me saying that now I must book it in so it can be sorted. I did not book it because I had no guarantee that it would be sorted out and they would just take the motherboard and I would be left with nothing. I later heard in December 2018 that I am sitting with another customers motherboard which has made me now suspect that either Bonke or Prince gave mine to another customer. During October 2017 Prince was dealing with two Roberts and that's most probably where the switch or theft took place.
We again in December 2018 went to their offices where we met Carlos himself and Robbie and spoke to them. Their Carlos told us that he has so many motherboards and that it would take time to go through them. He later came back to me saying that they had disposed of them all at the end of the year which I found hard to really believe.
I rep**** to his email with possible remedies to sort it once and for all out but he does not respond. Remedies below:
- The replacement of this motherboard with all the same features the missing motherboard had.
- A second option is finding out who the other Robert is that Prince was referring to when the repair was being done and checking to see if in fact my motherboard was given to him.
- A third option would to source a new computer with all the same features the Dell 5558 had. This being: - I7 motherboard - nvidia geforce graphics card with 4gb ram - 8gb of ram - 1Tb hard drive - DVD+/- RW - 15.6 inch screen - 1 USB 3 / 2USB 2 ports
- A fourth option that we have is: we give you everything, all parts (some) un-necessarily supp****, all replacement parts for the repair totaling 4297.81, thus making a stand-alone laptop and all broken parts in exchange for a full refund. The total of the refund of R 16 197.81 and is comprised of R 11 900.00 for the cost price of the laptop and R 4 297.81 for the amount paid for the repair.
After this last email I have had no response from that company. The reason I have written this review under Dionwired because I have no other place to turn to. I have approached Bernadus at the Boksburg branch emailed him everything and emailed an email on your website just for Bernadus to respond and again nothing comes out of it.
Below are all the emails addresses that are aware whats happening: ********** ********** ********** ********** **********
Also during that same year 2017 the hard drives crashed twice. On both occasions my packaging was been ****** (keyboard foam to protect keyboard 1st time and cloth bag to keep it went from been scratched in bag the 2nd time). Jasper said if he would be in the area he would just drop it off. In December 2018 he was asked about it and he just **** about it. He latter walked past me with a huge smile on his face instead of making write on the missing packaging. It maybe trivial but it remains my property and was most probably give to yet another customer because it was still in good condition.
I must just emphasis again the negative review under Dionwired because I bought this laptop in utmost good faith from your store. I bought it because I wanted a Dell I7 laptop instead I am sitting with somebody else's Dell I5 motherboard. Dionwired contracted the warranty to this dishonest and useless company who have taken me for a ride. At the time of purchase in 2016 your staff were friendly and I was very impressed with the service just a year latter to be ****med like this. They are aware since December 2017 that I wanted my motherboard back, with all due respect any honest company would have give it back because its the customers property.
I have all the correspondence which I can forward to you on request if need be. I after all this time think the refund option is the best option. Can this now finally be resolved.(18 months later)
Thanks Robert
