Dionwired - SELLING DAMAGED GOODS

On the 18th October we purchased an Xbox One X. An expensive console that my Husband loved. Until 18 days the later the console just stopped working. We went to the store to get a replacement. As the item was still new. Barely 2 weeks old. We were told we need to contact Microsoft directly for assistance. After waiting on hold forever, we were told we would have to contact a service agent to have the product assessed and then possibly repaired. After 18 days of use, they want us to get something repaired! What nonsense. I Since we paid nearly R10k, we want something that works and that's new! Now we have to do the run around. We then requested a refund which they will not grant us. Nowhere on the slip or paperwork does it started that we cannot receive a full refund. They again sent us to Microsoft. This is DISGUSTING SERVICE. you will take our money, but you want us to have products that don't work.

In terms of s56 (read with s55) of the CPA, all goods sold to a consumer are sold with an imp**** warranty of quality, that cannot be contracted out of or revoked. The warranty gives the consumer the right to receive goods that:

are reasonably suitable for the purpose that they are intended to be used for, are of good quality, free of defects and in good working order, and will be durable and usable for a reasonable period of time. If goods are found not to comply with these requirements then, for up to 6 months after receiving the goods, the consumer can:

return the goods, or get the goods replaced, or get a refund.

For the hassle, the calls to customers services and Microsoft in Europe, the disappointment and terrible service, we don't want the console. We were nice, now we demand a refund!
