Dion Wired's terrible service
The issue that I have experienced was: On the 14th of August 2018 I contacted the shop and informed them that the coffee machine my wife purchased in December 2016 is faulty and it's still in the guarantee period. The coffee machine had a 2 year extended guarantee per attached to it which comes in affect after December 2018. I was told by the lady on the phone that they don't deliver and the machine must be brought in to the shop. The following day (Tuesday 14th August) I delivered the faulty coffee machine with proof of the guarantee papers to the store manager (Mr Burger Cronje). He agreed that the machine was still under guarantee and has not yet fallen into the extended period. The machine was taken from me and copies were made of the papers. I was told that they will stay in touch with me. After hearing nothing I phoned the store on the 28th August 2018 to find out if there are any developments regarding the repairs of the machine. I spoke to a lady called Nesca, that's if it is correctly spelled and was informed that they are just waiting for the part which should be there by the Friday 2nd September 2018. Again I was told that they will contact me which did not happened. I called them on the 5th of September and was by Nesca that the technicians informed her that the guarantee on the machine has lapsed. I was livid and told her but how on earth is that possible and told her to put me through to the manager Mr Burger Cronje. He in turn told me that he will follow it up with there head quarters as there must be some mistake. He'll come back to me. Again, no return call. I called the following day and Nesca told me they are just waiting for the go ahead from ther head office to repair the machine. On Friday the 7th of September 2018 I called Mr Burger Cronje and he told me that they are still awaiting the go ahead from the head quarters and that I should not worry as the machine will definitely be repaired. I told him my dismay of this whole matter and that it is unacceptable as a client to be treated in the manner Dion Wired does. Clearly all the proof of the guarantee is there and I cannot see why the long delay from a big brand franchise like them to repair such a small item.
My second complaint to Dion Wired headquarters:
I just want to highlight the poor service I am receiving from Dion Wired regarding the fixing of my coffee machine. The faulty machine was handed in on the 14 august 2018. I submitted the complaint to resolver and received a call from one of the Canal Walk personnel Nesca on the 12th Septetember 2018 noting my action. She assured me the matter will be dealt with urgently and that she will contact me later. I subsequently received a call from her where I was asked if I was willing to move the extended warranty of the coffee machine, which only kicks in from December2018 onwards, forward now so that the repairs can be done. I refused and told her that constitute guilt on my side which it is not and will shorten my extended warranty. She agreed and informed me she'll get hold of Dion Wired headquarters and will come back to me. On Saturday the 15th of September I received another call from Nesca where she told me that authority was given from headquarters to repair the machine and that I will get it back the following week. I cautioned her not to make such promises which she cannot deliver on. On Monday the 17th September 2018 Nesca called me stating the machine is currently being attended to and that I'll definitely get the machine the following week. She assured me that she will even follow up on the Wednesday the 19th of September to see the progress of the repairs. To date I haven't received my repaired coffee machine nor a call from anyone. It has now been six weeks in total that I have battled to get a small appliance like the coffee machine fixed from such a gigantic well name brand appliance shop. This kind of service is appalling to say the least and totally unacceptable. I've lost my patience with this shop.
