My review of the Diner Restaurant at O.R Tambo Airport...

9/12/2019. Early morning at 8am we decided to get breakfast at The Diner Restaurant at O.R Tambo. We sat down and ordered our drinks.( First hurdle) after waiting patiently we are eventually are giving the green light to place our food order. At first I thought I was still half asleep. Having to repeat myself over and over again on a simple food order and dietary requirements, and with the constant repeating of the word " what" I slowly started to understand that our waitress barely understood the basics of the English language let alone what was part of her menu. With this difficulty I persisted to be patient and give a chance, but that was soon short lived when an open discussion was held 3 feet away from me, at the till, between my waiter and another. I thought I was hearing things but when I focused on what was being said it was very clear they were talking about me and my family. " we dont understand" followed by ****** comments spewed violently out of the waitresses mouth... The ignorance was deafening and I couldn't believe what I was witnessing... so i got up and tapped these two on the back, and with a smile said please cancel my order and asked for the manager.. well.. we payed our bill with an ice tea charge of R45 a can! The Manager never coming out as I was told she is to busy... when will people learn how to conduct themselves with etiquette!. It seems like it's a thing of the past.... I will never go back and never recommend. It is by far the worst experience I have ever had on all my travels...pity pity pity Diner restaurant.. Another fact: I cannot get any details for contact to this Restaurant.
