Worst experience.. unreliable ..

Stay as far away from this "company" as possible.. that's all I can advise. All the negative reviews on hello peter are 100% correct. I wish I had taken the time to check these reviews before paying Lyle for a couch. He is the most unprofessional business owner I have ever dealt with. Absolutely zero customer service, zero urgency, zero accountability, zero adherence to time frames and full of lies. Since day 1, everything coming from him was a lie! To start off... I was shopping online and was ready to pay the deposit, only to be told that the prices on their ecommerce website are incorrect and the item I wanted to purchase would cost more. Since when is it the customer's problem if a company hasn't updated their online prices. Lyle sure makes it the customer's problem. Any reputable company would have honored the price advertised. Nonetheless, I decided to accept the revised price and paid. In hindsight, I should have walked away at that point... because that is when the real nightmare started. What was supposed to take 6-8 weeks to manufacture, ended up taking about 19 weeks! That's right.. 19 weeks for 1 couch! During all that time, it was impossible trying to contact anyone at Dimentions. Lyle never answers calls, and never returns calls. All you'll get from him is an sms "I'll call you back", which he NEVER does. On the odd occasion he will send a whatsapp message, which was always a new lie. Every possible lie and excuse was made by Lyle.. from blaming his supplier, to his staff, to the weather, to the truck, to taxi violence, to riots.. i'm amazed he never blamed the looting in KZN, cos that's exactly the type of ********* business person he is. Lyle and his partner Raydean, or whoever she is, have no idea what it takes to run a business. Raydean first blamed their leather supplier, only informing me at week 7 that supply is a problem.. no communication from Dimentions regarding supply issues, until I enquired when delivery would be (7 weeks since payment was processed). She then said the leather would arrive in 3 days.. the frame was already built (apparently) and once the leather arrived, it would be quick to complete. That was around the 20th May. Fast forward 2 months later and I was still waiting on delivery... still struggling to get them to answer calls.. stil struggling to get the couch delivered. For nearly 5 months, they've had payment, and continue without giving a damn. I tried calling and emailing Raydean to get an update... and I have not heard back from her since May! It has been a constant run around, chasing these fools, trying to get what I purchased. I have been holding back on posting this, just waiting for delivery, in case they decided to continue the BS and drag it out further.... so now, after 19 weeks, I finally have the couch, and can post this review. Lyle delivered the couch with 2 broken legs. He said he would be back the weekend to replace those legs...surprise, surprise.. 2 weeks have passed and not a word from lyle. Was it worth the wait? Hell no. You can get the better quality furniture, with little to no frustration, from many other businesses out there. I have had other furniture made during the same time I ordered from Dimentions. The difference is, the other company stuck to the 4 week timeline that they required! 4 weeks - in this day and age, that's all that's REALLY required to make a couch. Unless of course, the company is Dimentions. Nobody deserves to be taken for a ride by this mickey mouse company. I can honestly say, I will never recommend Dimentions to anyone. I only gave them 1 STAR because it's the lowest available rating on Hello Peter. This company honestly deserves negative ratings. Keep your money and spend it elsewhere. You WILL regret ever having to deal with Dimentions and Lyle.
