Dignity Life refusing to pay my premiums back

I opened an insurance policy with Dignity Group for my Grandmother she passed away before I finished the waiting period I only paid for 5 months, I then submitted the documents after the funeral and now I am told that my claim is declined and that I will not be getting my premiums back they say it was stated in my contract, nowhere does it say in their contract that I will forfeit my premiums if I don't finish the waiting period. I have also requested them to send me a copy the contract and highlight this I'm still waiting.
