Dignity Group Funeral is a **** warn everyone. they find ways not to pay!!!
On the 8 August 2023 at 11:18AM I lodged a claim to Dignity Group for a funeral cover underwritten by King Price insurance with all the supporting documents and I have been paying as from 2018/07/02 . I got the response 14:32 to resend all documents in pdf format, I was pulsed because i had sent all my document in pdf format. Well I recent it either-way. 9th was a holiday the was no activity, the 10 August 2023 at 11:42PM I received an SMS saying my policy is in arrears of R1001.66 and i must pay by 31 August 2023 and i must make a Deposit at ABSA Bank, strange because my premium is deducted in my paysip. At 15:49PM on the 10th I received a email telling me to sign claim alteration form and to provide burial order and confirmation letter, I sent them back at 16:50PM. On the 11th i called *** at 10:03 the voice mail said the office is closed. I contacted whats app no. *** to find out whats why is the office closed and why how far is my claim, they promised to call at 10:30AM from *** and i was told that my claim will not proceed because i have done alterations in my previous claim. I was told that I need to provide all the documents of the people in my cover, mind you I am preparing for a funeral that is on the 12/08/2023. I asked to talk to a Manager. At 11:12 I got a call from *** I spoke to the manager bagged her to process my claim and not to delay me with documents that can be submitted after the funeral. I had to drive around 200km to go get an ID copy. I phoned again the manager begging her to pay because I have sent documents. At 15:35 I got an email saying i will receive an amendment form from amendment department. Im yet to receive it. It is now 20:37PM. I dont believe that this Dignity is a real company. I hope the officials will hear us and close it to protect South Africans, I mean seeing the reviews here on Hellopeter, its shocking!
