Unauthorized debt order
I received a sms of a debit order of R99.00 that went off my account 25 August and 25 September. I checked my bank statement and saw the debt orders came from Digicash. I contacted my bank and they advised me to call the company and question it. I called Digicash and was totally upset with lady on the phone. She advised me they received my details from 2 different companies - Standard life marketing (in the UK) and Compack marketing (in Australia). I have no knowledge of these 2 companies or of Digicash. <br> Who gives them the right to debit my account without my permission? Not just one month but two months.<br> I contacted my bank and the 2 amounts will be reversed. Who is Digicash and where do the 2 international companies get my bank details from? People please be on the look for these ********. They are really trying to rip us off... ?<br>

Please note that Digicash is a duly registered Third Party Payment Provider (TPPP) who facilitates debit order collections on behalf of various merchants.
The process is as follows:
o A consumer enters into an agreement with one of our merchants
o That merchant utilises DigiCash's software to collect funds from the consumer's account
o Digicash registers a unique assigned short name (ASN) with its sponsoring bank which the merchant must use when submitting debit orders
o The ASN, a reference number and Digicash's name will appear in your bank statement. This will help us to identify the merchant responsible for debiting your account
We would ask that you please contact us on *** with further details of the transaction. We will then be able to put you in direct contact with the company who asked us to collect these funds from you, and this can then be resolved.
