DIGICASH - ******* DEBIT ORDER AND BAD ATTITUDE

WHEN CHECKING MY BANK ACCOUNT I PICKED UP AN UNKNOWN DEBIT ORDER. I THEN CONTACTED THE BANK AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE DEBIT ORDER CAME FROM DIGICASH. I THEN CONTACTED DIGICASH AND AFTER WAITING QUITE A WHILE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE (PROBABLY MULTIPLE PEOPLE WITH COMPLAINTS) THE VERY UNFRIENDLY LADY TOLD ME THAT THE COMPANY WAS CALLED CLASSIC MARKETING. I ASKED HOW DID THIS HAPPEN AND SHE ADVISED THAT PERMISSION WAS DONE TELEPHONICALLY!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE????? I AM EXTREMELY UPSET, BUT IT SEEMS THAT THIS IS NOT DIGICASH'S PROBLEM, BUT MINE!!! PLUS THE NUMBER THAT THE UNFRIENDLY LADY GAVE ME - THERE IS NO ANSWER!!! NOW I HAVE TO GO TO MY BANK AND REVERSE THE DEBIT ORDER AND HAVE NO CER*****Y, BESIDES A SMS, THAT THIS WONT HAPPEN AGAIN!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE

Hello cmarendse,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We'll aim to assist in resolving your query as quickly as possible.

Please note that Digicash is a duly registered Third Party Payment Provider (TPPP) who facilitates debit order collections on behalf of various merchants.

The process is as follows:
o A consumer enters into an agreement with one of our merchants
o That merchant utilises DigiCash's software to collect funds from the consumer's account
o Digicash registers a unique assigned short name (ASN) with its sponsoring bank which the merchant must use when submitting debit orders
o The ASN, a reference number and Digicash's name will appear in your bank statement. This will help us to identify the merchant responsible for debiting your account

We would ask that you please contact us on *** with further details of the transaction. We will then be able to put you in direct contact with the company who asked us to collect these funds from you, and this can then be resolved.

The Digicash Team
