Awful breakfast at four star lodge

We were at Diggersrest Lodge from 31 May 2019 to 03 June 2019. It is a four star lodge and the views are good, the rooms are well-appointed. We could do the road (not good). We could cope with the games only being available if you had booked the “right” room. We could manage not having a kitchen. We could cope with hearing every (I mean every!) sound from our neighbours. But we could not do the “continental breakfast” that was served in the bedroom. It was awful. There is no other way to describe it. Remember, this is a four star graded establishment. The breakfast for two: 2 Ceres boxed juices, four soft white hamburger buns, two ****ins, two slices of processed cheese, four processed cheese wedges, four caterers’ quality prepacked mixed fruit jam, four prepacked butters, two Weetabix biscuits, two 100 gr smooth fruit-flavoured yoghurt, two rusks, instant coffee, teabags, and two 250ml milk cartons. Horrible, isn’t it. Don’t, don’t order it. Especially when you realise that that cost us R120. Eish! Unfortunately it does give some idea of how they view their guests – people to be fleeced.
