Pathetic service

Pathetic service! They can accept a job even if they don't have the competence to do it. My friend took his bakkie to them as a non-runner. They said they could fix it for him. Their diagnosis was that it needed new injectors. They billed him R20500 and requested the payment upfront. I personally paid it for him since he couldn't. Diesel Tune-up said the job will take about 3 days and he was excited because that means he could start using his bakkie for removals and also be able to pay me back. That was in July. To cut the long story short, 3 month down the line when Diesel Tune up realised they couldn't fix the vehicle, they asked him to come and tow it away. They billed him (actually us because my name now appears on this bill as well for the shear fact that I paid the first one) an additional R3150 for opening up the engine (not fixing it) and said if the vehicle is not towed away they will start charging R280 per day. Now this guy is depressed because not only is his bakkie still a non-runner and he cannot use it as he had hoped for, he now owes me R20500 on top of that, and he cannot even afford to pay these additional bills, let alone afford the R300 to tow the vehicle away.
