Damaged Diesel sneaker

I ordered the Serendipity sneaker in September last year, from the Diesel online store. Which I'd only worn a few times in November and December last year. When I decided to wash the sneaker in January this year, I soaked it in detergent and water for about an hour and just as I was about to wash the sneakers, the "Diesel" logo printed on the sneaker tongue was peeling off from the one sneaker. While the one sneaker still has the logo in place, the other one has missing letters which fell-off during the soaking. I contacted them on the 29th of January 2021, requesting an exchange for the same sneaker + size or if possible a reprint of the logo on the sneaker. Adrian Louw responded on the 15th of February 2021, only to say "Unfortunately we don't offer exchanges on our online store and lack the stock of the initial shoe purchased" and that "they do not advise customers to soak their shoes for an hour", where in the shoe care guide is this mentioned?! I waited half a month for half baked feedback! They've definitely lost me as a customer!
