I bought a new alternator on 15 June
I bought a new alternator on 15 June. It was fitted and worked well. However when I used my vehicle at nighttime, lights on, aircon on, etc, the alternator did not charge the battery and I was stuck in the dark, late at night, on the side of the road. I only drove 50kms with this alternator. I had to purchase another alternator as the one from Diesel Electric failed to deliver the correct voltage needed for my vehicle. I returned the alternator within 14 days and was told by the manager that I could not return it, as it was used. So what am I supposed to do? R1700 wasted. Contacting them via email didn't help as they continued to say "sorry it is policy". I had no idea that the alternator they sold to me was in fact a factory rebuilt alternator, PlusLine Reman. If I had known this, I wouldn't have bought it from them.
