Murphy Daylon

I approached a Mr Daylon Murphy of Diesel Wraps to wrap my vehicle in the beginning of August 2022. I told him what I was looking for and that I stay 400 km away from Johannesburg and only have two days for him to do the wrap. He said it was fine and I agreed to the price he gave me for the work and material. On arrival I paid him R 2000 cash and the balance via EFT to the bank he gave me. He told me that he will be back in two hours to start the work seeing that he just needs to pick the material up. I tried to phone him at 10h30 but his phone was on voice mail. we kept on trying until 13h00 with no luck of getting hold of him. I then phoned my bank and tried to stop the EFT but could not do it with out a police case been made for *****. Eventualy I got a call from him at 13h30 with the excuse that his battery was down and that he does not have a charger. He also could not get the material because the EFT does not reflect in his account even after I sent him proof of payment. I then found out that he does not have the money to buy material and required my money to do so. This is a very unprofessional manner to do business and was not told to me prior to me doing the payment. I could not wait for the following day so I contacted the supplier and paid for the material a second time so that my cat can be done. I also arranged with a company on my cost to collect the material seeing that Daylon was not there. An hour later the material arrived and so did Daylon. I got him to sign a document that should the capital reflect in his account that he will repay the full amount back to me. He started working on my car but could not finish. On the second day he asked me if I would not like to have the roof done in black and I said no, I would like all be done in white. I had to extend my stay for two extra days at my cost seeing that he could not finish. The last day he told me that he does not have enough white for the car and I phoned the supplier. The supplier told me that he knew from day one that there would not be enough for the entire car and it was told to Daylon. I had no choice to do my roof in black and again had to order it my self from the supplier and paid for it. I asked Daylon time and time again if the material will stay in place and not lift. I was assure from it that it will not and that I have a tree months guarantee on his work. The day I left, I arranged for the hold to be lifted and Daylon promised me to repay me the capital. On my way back a day later the wrap on my rear spoiler was blown off, a little later the wrap on my roof was blown off. On arrival home the wrap was starting to come off all over my vehicle. I phoned the supplier and other companies and was told after I sent them pictures, that the work was done incorrectly due to over stretching. I phoned Daylon and said that I want my money back and he refused, that means I will have to redo the entire car due to this mans unprofessional way of doing the wrap and I do believe that he planed this from day one seeing that he knew there was not enough material. Please do not make use of this company or of Daylon Murphy, you will be disappointed and ending up where I am now. Now he gives the supplier the fault for old stock.
