Inadequate and dissatisfying service by a professional company.

Good day Peter of DIDI Waterproofing did some work on our houses roof. Replacing bolts and sealing thereof. BUT the problem came when he had to replace sheets on the roof of the braai area. All the leaks appeared soon afterwards mostly on the roof of the braai room. Everytime we phoned he sent someone with a silicone gun. As a result of not replacing the sheets with the incorrect length and inferior quality the roof just leaked forever. The main concern we had when we had the consultation with him was the leaks at the chimney. . My husband said that the chimney needs to be boxed in. He installed flat sheets on the roof to supposedly help with the flow of the rain water. This was absolutely unnecessary and a **** story. Eventually phoning and sending emails back and forth he said that the roof is passed it sell-by date. BUT all the leaks occurred on the roof sheets that he replaced. We believe that he bought cheaper sheets to install. Because when he had to install these sheets he suddenly could not source the right length. Our take on this is that the shorter sheets must have been cheaper. Then after emailing him again he sent us an email saying that he would fix the roof but that he was very busy because of the oncoming winter. Well needless to say he never kept his word. I have been in contact with him through email but he never responded. This is now a couple of years later and the owner of the business never came to the party. We feel that since he promised to fix the roof he must be brought to book. My husband and I saved for years to fix the roof. But we since he supposedly fix the roof of the braai room the situation is far worse than what it was. If it rains we cannot arrange for friends to come over, since the roof still leaks. It is a very embarrassing situation to be in. The work which was done is unsatisfactory to say the least. We were so looking forward to get a better roof without leaks. After all was said and done we ended up with a leaking roof full of dirt because dirt sticks to silicone. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to voice our opinion.
