Unprofessional ******!

Very disappointing and false advertising agents. I viewed a house and was interested in taking the unit, But i realized that the house had some defects, broken tiles, walls needed paint, lights not working properly and very dirty. the agent (Loraine) promised me that all will be sorted before vacating the place, i paid deposits and rent. on the day of moving in, i called the agent to meet to do the move in inspections and all, her response was "why must i meet you, you and I are done, will send someone to bring you the key" that response alone alarmed me that we not gonna end well with these people. well someone came to bring the key. guess what? The house was still in the same state i saw when i viewed it, Dirty like a *** yard, disgusting! i then contacted the agents, Cindy, who's apparently the renting manager said I must go by the gate and pick up people that usually sit at the estate looking for work to clean the place, she offered R200 for the person. who would clean the whole 2 bedroom for R200? who must buy cleaning material? my wife and I refused, we told them its their responsibility to clean, they then said they will send a cleaning company to clean. our furniture laid in the parking lot for the whole day, i kept making follow ups through out the day and they told me someone is on their way. a guy calls me after 17:00 to tell me they didnt know i was expecting them and that they can only come out to clean on Monday. we then told the agents that we could not move in under those conditions and that we are cancelling the contract, they couldnt care less, they told me I already signed and theres nothing i could do. i went and looked for people to clean, its very late now and dark, my furniture still sitting outside, unattended as we were busy looking for people to clean. we eventually found people and they charged us R600. i spent about R250 on cleaning material, Cindy only compensated me R500. it took the whole night cleaning, into the early hours of the next day, thats how filthy that place was. ****roach infested and all. till this day they havent bothered to come and see what they can do to help. and we are stuck with them for 12months
