Worst Experience With Insurance

I've been on calls with multiple insurance agencies in the last few days since I've needed to get car insurance.

The experience with Dialdirect has been the worst I've had with any insurance company so far. Not only were they hiding information that would have ended up potentially catching me out should I need to claim in future (which I hope never happens), but they also didn't want to tell me directly and preferred to send me an automated email after the call to break the bad news about something I insisted I wanted information about. On top of that, the quote I was given in the email was not only significantly more expensive, but it also didn't correct the very issue I insisted on verifying.

I've received multiple calls since, each one seeming nice, but with either no consistency, no follow-up when they said they would, or just getting the phone hung up for the sharing the slightest grievance (and no, I didn't shout at the person on the other side of the phone, just calmly explained the frustrations and why I wouldn't go with their insurance, so they can't even claim they hung up because I was being unreasonable).

I've given them multiple opportunities to correct for it (not by necessarily convincing me that they're worth switching to, but just by indicating that this treatment of customers is not their usual and saying sorry for the bad experience). In my most recent interaction with them, I've been told I would get a follow-up call within 24 hours, but I never did. I gave extra time to make sure I didn't write this review without giving them a fair chance.

Save yourself the struggle and possible claim rejection on technicalities, and keep away from Dialdirect.
