Wear & Tear? What an easy excuse...

Last week, on the 5th of June 2017, I booked in the Fujitsu Lifebook for an "assessment" by a professional service provider, Paragon Computers, which services Dial Direct clients. They advised me that we should have an answer by Thursday, the 8th of June. Calmly and with Patience I awaited a call from my awesome insurance company. On Thursday, I was contact by Dial Direct, asking me to please be patient a bit more, as they will only have an answer on Friday before close of business. On Friday at 13:00 I had to call in myself, and was told by the lady I spoke to, that they did get the report the previous day in fact, and that it was showing "Rejected due to Wear & Tear". So according to me, Wear & Tear is the only way out for Dial Direct, for them to find an easy excuse not to pay out a claim. Every single time I lodge a claim with this company, it just keeps on becoming an issue & then finally they have to be reported on HelloPeter.com before I get any positive feedback, which BY THE WAY DIAL DIRECT, I AM PAYING FOR!! - It is also completely mind boggling that a Professional IT company told me just the day before, that the laptop was damaged by surge, due to the recent power dips our area has been experiencing....I need an answer in a positive manner today!

Reviewer Update

It has been 2 days already, after Dial Direct requested a report from my own preferred IT company, and they got it from me on the same day (12/6/2017), it just went to complete radio silence....If I don't phone in from my side, no feedback or contact is given....and when I do phone in, I am being "calmly" advised that they are working on it, and that various people has to give their "input" on the reports from both Paragon Computers & my IT company....so it takes two days for a few people to just say "Yes, the client has a foot to stand on"....because it is as clear as daylight, Dial Direct clearly do not pay claims that we are insured for....

Thank you for your patience while we attended to your dispute.

We have reviewed the rejection of your claim and found that the original decision to decline your claim based on "wear and tear / electrical breakdown" was correct.

An e-mail was forwarded to you in this regard.
