Wear & Tear on a Liquid Damaged Handset

On 13.03.2017 I Booked in my Huawei P9-Lite for Liquid damage. The liquid damage happened whilst I was talking on the phone & it fell into my washing basin. Afterwards the phone did not switch on & did not want to work at all. After waiting more than 7 days for feedback on my claim, I was informed by Mirriam from DialDirect that my claim will be rejected due to Wear & Tear(hardware failure). I disputed this & was put on a conference call with Suresettle, the vendor that did the report. They sounded unsure about the assessment report & whether their technician actually gave the report correctly. Afterwards suresettle phoned me & advised me that a second technician will assess the handset for any liquid damage & they will change the report if needed. I feel this is completely unacceptable & that Dial Direct could've given me the benefit of the doubt, with my 5 years qualified cellphone technician experience, especially after hearing that their "supplier" is doubting their own technicians & reports. This matter will need to be resolved today still as my final verdict is that the technician is not qualified or experienced enough to perform such advanced level assessments. This has been the unhappiest first two months at an insurance provider ever.
