Unfairly rejected claim
On or about 26th April 2017 I concluded a contract of comprehensive insurance cover with Dial Direct Insurance insuring my White BMW 1 series. On or about 31st March 2017 your I lost employment due to a an expired or lapsed contract. Ever since then I had been trying through thick and thin to keep her policy with you alive amid the fact that I had no income. On January 2018 I happened to have missed payment of a premium and on the same month, my vehicle was, unfortunately, involved in an accident. Dial Direct towed the vehicle to a certain place of their choice and they also issued me with a courtesy vehicle whilst they were processing the claim. In the process of waiting, I was told by one of dial direct employees that the delay on my claim was due to having missed January 2018 premium payment and the same person (dial direct employee) advised I pay my missed January premium. I made an arrangement that the missed premium of January 2018 be debited on the 20th February 2018 (bearing in mind that my car was already a write off then). Having payed that missed January premium, I was left under the impression that everything was resolved pertaining to my claim. I was shocked when I was informed that my claim was rejected and that the arranged payment which was initially said to be rectifying that missed January 2018 premium was then changed to be February 2018 payment (of which February 2018 my car was already a write off) without my consent and knowledge stating that this was due to that my contract was not yet cancelled (take note that my car was involved in an accident beyond repairs on January 2018). I say, to prove that the payment debited in February 2018 was an arranged payment to replace that missed January 2018, was that it was outside the normal debit date which was usually 15th day of each month and that it was payed after a conversation I had with a dial direct employee between the 18th and 20th of February 2018. It was due to the dial direct’s employee who advised me to pay that missed January 2018 premium to resolve the problem with my claim and as a result I had to go and deposit money in my bank account on the 20th of February 2019 which was debited the same day. In addition to paying for towing of my vehicle from the accident scene to Capital Panel Beaters in Kokstad and providing me with a courtesy vehicle for 30 days, Dial Direct payed Capital Panel Beaters its storage fees and they (Dial Direct) moved my vehicle from Kokstad to Eddies Panel Beater in Harding. All these created an impression to me that I was covered by Dial Direct insurance policy in that accident. Amid all these facts my claim was rejected or declined. My vehicle is still where Dial Direct had moved it to on the second occasion and since the car was financed by ABSA bank, the debt is still growing large at ABSA. I have been travelling on foot with an inconvenience of having to use public transport to move from point “A” to point “B” because I cannot get financed towards buying another car if Dial Direct has not yet cleared my debt with ABSA. I am now permanently employed by my previous employer (Treasury) but my credit score hinders me from pursuing my goals. I need not to say much about my on-going frustration the lack of resolution in this matter.

Best regards,
So today they just refunded me the money that was said to be the January 2018 premium, they just refunded me after 2 years.
Dial direct does not know how to deal with people and I would not advise anyone to join their insurance,I want them to pay for my car.
