I cancelled my vehicle insurance with Dialdirect in August 2017. I recently noticed that they were still deduction nearly R500 per month from my bank account. When I called Dialdirect I was told that the deduction was for scratch and dent insurance on the same vehicle and that I had to cancel this separately, even though the policies are linked and even have the same policy numbers! The consultant apologised for the confusion and even admitted that it may be misleading or confusing for their customers. I am currently insured with First For Women, but I believe they are just a different brand under the same umbrella. No difficulty guessing whose cancellations department my next call will be to. Be very careful when dealing with this company and check your bank statements regularly!
