Switch over from Virgin Money to Dialdirect

We had our vehicle insured through Virgin Money and received an email stating:

\Virgin Money and Dialdirect have been in partnership since October 2010. As the two businesses are moving in different directions, the current partnership is not being renewed, through mutual and amicable consent.

What does this mean for you? Your policy will still be provided, administered and underwritten by Dialdirect, whose branding will now reflect on all your documentation. This change, effective 1 March 2016, will have no effect on your policy contract or your premium.

If you have any queries, please feel free to contact our dedicated Customer Care team on ***or email [Email Removed]

Received another email from Dialdirect to inform me that \" your new combined monthly premiums would be R1615.50 as off 1 April 2016\". My monthly premium was R882.39. I get it that there must be a annual increase, but to increase it by almost 100%? Really? This is unacceptable and the call centre informed us that there is nothing they could do? If this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction with a way better premium offer, I will be looking for a different insurance company."

Hello Pierre Oberholze,

Thank you for your comments.

We have noted that your annual policy review coincided with the brand switch. We have attempted to call you on the number provided in order to discuss your premium increase but could unfortunately not reach you, an e-mail was forwarded to you. Please respond to the mail in order for us to assist you further.

Regards,

The Dialdirect Team
