Silly Terms and Conditions

I am covered Third Party with Dial Direct. I am paying almost R500 per month. I upgraded my policy so that i could be covered for scratches and dents up to R3000<br> <br> A guy bumped my rear bumper and I phoned Dial Direct and went to one of their recommended Panel Beater in Sandton. The guy gave me a quote for R3570 which was rejected by the Insurance company -- Fair enough.<br> <br> I then went to two other Panel Beaters and got quotes for R2800. An agent from Dial Direct phoned me the next day telling me that this has been rejected again by the Insurance Company because -- according to them -- the dents on my car do not qualify to be scratches or dents even though the quotations I sent them were for less than R3000.<br> <br> My bumper is not even badly damaged. The agent mentioned scraches on the front bumper and on the front door -- which I am not claiming for btw -- because they were already there when i took up this policy. I even mentioned this to them. I guess Dial Direct is now using these scratches as an excuse not to fix my rear bumper.<br> <br> I have been a member of Dial Direct for more than a year and have never missed on my payments and i have never claimed. So is this the thanks I get?<br> <br>
