Roadside Non-assist

I locked my keys in my car so I called my insurer, Dial dDirect. The lady on the line, Thembi, was very friendly and helpful. While I was still on the line, I received SMS notifications that a locksmith is on the way.

Needless to say, I was very impressed. Thembi went on to inform me that the locksmith would arrive in 45mins and assured me that she would check in every now and then to make sure I'm safe.

An hour later, I am still standing at the roadside. She hasn't called me at all and when I called to find out what the hold up is, a lady called Lerato explained that the delay, as logged by Thembi is 90 minutes and not the previously mentioned 45 minutes.

At this rate, I'm not even sure the locksmith will arrive.

It has now been over 90 minutes and I have just been advised that the locksmith will be here in an additional 45 minutes. The reason I have been given is that they were not given the correct information. Clearly your call centre agents need better training.

I am in Kensington and the locksmith is coming from Kenilworth IN PEAK TRAFFIC!

Surely there is a more efficient way of doing this?

I'm ready to give this 1 start and shift my insurance company altogether.
