I hve 2 policies with DD - home & home contents. I recently had a burst geyser causing extensive damage to my ceiling an built in wardrobe. DD approved the claim for the burst geyser & the resultant damage i.e. replacemnt of wardrobe and ceiling on the home policy. The 2nd claim on the home contents policy for damaged clothing & curtains which were kept in the wardrobe, they reject on the basis \insufficient proof and value of ownership". I explained to the consultant that my daughter had disposed of the damaged items as it was starting to smell"
