Repaire Work Requires Rework

On the 25 September 2016, I had an accident, they towed my vehicle away for repairs. I received it back on the 24 October 2016. But repair work was not completed correctly due to the assessor only assessing the left side of the vehicle and the control arm on the right needed to be replaced.

On the 2 November 2016 the Center Wheel Nut had come loose which I had to get tightened myself even after reporting it.

On the 04 December the Centre Nut came loose again and I was towed home.

On the 05 December I dropped my car off at the dealership to resolve the Centre Nut but they reported to me that the front end shocks, the left side shaft seals and the strut arms have to be replaced.

I contacted the claims department and complained even send in the quotation from the inspection but i have no response and now I no vehicle to drive.

I feel this is completely unprofessional that I the client have to be inconvenienced due to the work not being completed the first time right.

I am also required to pay my premiums on time yet I cannot get speedy assistance.

Reviewer Update

Good day,

A gentleman by the name of Louis contacted me yesterday to explain to him the events. I would’ve thought the first review would’ve explained that.

He informed me that he would call me back as there was an appointment arranged between myself and the assessors were arranged without my knowledge.

I am still awaiting that call back.

I don't believe that the people involved understand the urgency of the matter it is the December period and I plans as well as the fact that I live in Pretoria but work in Balmoral (Mpumalanga).

This is total unacceptable considering that this issue was already escalated and that this is rework to be completed.

With the assessment of the dealership do you think this vehicle is road worthy and safe to drive????

I don’t believe that you would be pleased to be placed in this situation we you have paid for a service from a supposedly reputable insurance company yet you are placed in a position where you have driven an unsafe vehicle for over a month.

These actions could have possible placed my life at risk and I don't believe that is something to be taken likely.
