Poor service with no help
I drive a 2015 VW Polo 1.2 TSI. My car was ****** and recovered on the 6th June 2018. I was informed that if the damages were more than 40%,of what my car is worth, it will be written off. My claim was put through and I received an SMS from Dial Direct on the 14th June stating that the repairs would be done by Jacques Locksmith. I received a call from Jacques on the 20th June informing me that he will repair my car. This is the last time Jacques contacted me, I had to keep phoning him to check on the progress on my car. As time went by Jacques kept on extending when my car will be ready, saying he is waiting for parts to be delivered from Germany. He even told me that I must just give him 2weeks and the car will be done. My car hire was just for 30 days. On the 9th July I had to return the car hire as dial direct consultant said there's nothing she can do, once I have reached my 30days. On the 9th July I contacted Jacques because he once again told me my car will be ready on the 9th July. He then said he's still waiting for the part to be delivered. He then gave me the number of Noelan from VW McCarthy to ask about the part that should be delivered. Noelan than informed me that the part had not arrived and the factory in Germany is struggling to make this part. I then spoke to the repairs centre of dial direct to hopefully get an answer on the repairs on my car. Jacques then told the consultant the part would arrive on the 18th July. On 16th July I contacted Dial direct again and Jacques informed Goodman(consultant) that the part has arrived in SA and should get to him on the 17th July the latest. Jacques keeps giving dates and nothing comes of it, again I am made to wait. No-one has answers for me. I just keep getting told that my problem will be escalated and they'll get back to me. So how long will this process take? How do I get to and from work? I work shifts and I am being inconvenienced. I cannot wait months for my car. I did not choose this repairer and dealership, Dial Direct made that choice. Yet I am suffering now? No-one is willing to help me. I don't even get a courtesy car while this 'situation' is sorted out. I fail to understand how a VW factory in Germany, a common brand is struggling to make a part for a Polo TSI, a car that is so popular. The fact that this part is not delivered is not my problem. I am still meant to pay monthly for insurancea. I last heard from Dial Direct on Thursday 19th July, nothing since then... I am very unhappy with the service I am receiving. Customer care means nothing to Dial Direct. It is heading for 2months and I have no car, dial direct has no idea when my car will be fixed and all I get told is we waiting on the supplier.
You really only know how good your insurance is when you claim.........
