NOT THAT THEY CARE : NEVER COUNT ON DIAL DIRECT : IT WILL END IN TEARS

In short, I have a comprehensive cover since 2017, I took the vehicle in for inspection. Dial direct never asked for my purchase agreement and did not classify anything on my car as non standard on the inspection certificate. September 2020 I got hijacked and held hostage for 5 hours. The vehicle was recovered but has about +R70 000 damage(partly assed). From the onset their Loss Adjuster Johnathan Breedt adviced me that the damage could be easily be covered by my R3 500 excess , so I should not claim. I went against his advice and claimed. I then asked him to do a full assessment of the damage on the vehicle and forward me the report before processing the claim of which he did not.

Although comprehensively covered, dial direct (Telesure) decided to pick and choose what they will cover and processed an incomplete claim leaving out the mechanical assessment, the windscreen and the GPS System with a reverse camera.

Dial direct will go to any lengths to avoid fully covering claims. Dial direct maliciously amended a Sound Cover clause (for amp and subwoofer) on the Vehicle cover agreement Dated 28 August 2019. After I made the claim , dial direct maliciously amended the clause to Sound system & equipment* on the Policy Amendment: *** Dated 23 September 2020 in a ploy to avoid covering the Gps and reverse camera system

I lodged a complaint with the short term ombudsman, Joanne P (:***) attended to the matter, after trying to avoid by all means to cover my claim / enriching me : putting it in her words, Joanne asked for the vehicle's purchase agreement and proof that my vehicle had a GPS /Reverse camera system so that they cover the claim, which I directly did send to Joanne on the Dec 27, 2020 .Please note the inspection certificate provided by Joanne on behalf of dial direct vividly shows the rear view camera on the bumper which Dial direct chooses not see (see attached snippet), Dial Direct inspected and took photos of what they were insuring at their inspection center upon taking the insurance, now that I'm claiming , they are withholding the photos/the proof ,recordings and then asking for proof from me . Dial direct is in possession of my car since September and has been looking for every excuse and trick to avoid fully covering the claim.

To date from my comprehensive cover (3months later) a)I never got the trauma counselling which is part of my cover b)My vehicle has not been mechanically assessed (I wonder what battles and harassment will I endure to get them to cover anymore damages should there be anymore) c) Dial direct has been try to arm twist me into accepting a half assessed, half covered, band aid solution to my comprehensive cover that I loyally paid every month from 2017.

My Experience with Dialdirect (Telesure) has been beyond traumatic, from being hijacked , I landed in money driven, uncompassionate hands, that will pull every stop to make sure that they pay out as little on none as possible. My life has been seriously inconvenienced .I thought with dial direct I was comprehensively covered , the false safety bubble they gave me whilst taking my money for years was popped / exposed the day I claimed. I'm beyond hurt, I have been through a lot, I'm numb. Should you be considering insuring stay away from Dial direct (Telesure group), they will gladly take your money, give you false safety and come up with a million tricks when its time to deliver on their promises.
