Nonsense about not being able to stop debit order
I activated a policy for a new vehicle on Wednesday 1 April.I was told that the first debit order will go off my account on Tuesday 7 April which I accepted. On Thursday 2 April I got a better deal at another insurance company and contacteddial direct to cancel. I was told the debit order will still be going off my bank account on Tuesday 7 April. I queried this as the accounts dept is surely able to take this off their system. No! I was ordered to go to MY bank and put a stop order on the debit order. I had to stand in a line at the bank for 45mins, just to get infront and be told that they can't put a stop order on it, the payment must first go off and then i must go back to the bank in order for the money to he stopped and returned to my account. This will cost ME a bank charge of R140. Surely your system is able to be edited? I will hold dial direct responsible for the bank charges I'll be charged. I expect this to be sorted out asap. It is ridiculous that you just throw your hands in the air and tell me to stop the payment at my bank. Thank goodness I will no longer be making use of dial directs services. Clearly you'll be throwing your hands in the air when it comes to a claim
