Never again with Dialdirect!

They don't deserve one star but because a star is required to activate the review they will get it.

I called them for a quote for comprehensive car insurance since my annual increased premium from my current insurer was more than I could afford. They offered me a better premium but my current insurer decreased my existing premium with existing benefits therefore I cancelled the same day with Dialdirect. As a consumer I have a right to terminate any agreement within a specific period before the services is rendered.

It was a mission to cancel the policy, it felt as if years of my life and joy was ****** trying to cancel this policy. After this experience I will avoid this company like a plague.

The most frustrating thing is the manner in which they try and retain a client, the training that they received is clearly bad as they try to tire the individual and frustrate the cancellation process. When all that should be required is ID number or policy number they required all the information during the quote process and keeping me on the telephone call longer than needed. They talked to me as if I was unsure all the time even with the CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS I gave for cancellation.

Even after receiving the cancellation letters, a debit order still proceeded to go off my bank account for the cancelled policy. I can understand system faults that result in the debit order that occurred. I can make allowance for that but when I call to confirm that this does not happen again they act as if I am misinformed or imagining this. The person was very condescending in her interaction with me. Yet I have a cancellation letter (with a date well in advance of the start date) and I have proof of the debit order and charges incurred for reversing the debit order. We will wait and see next month if the debit order persists.

Conclusion, they want business and don't care how they go about it.
