Mechanical warrentee is a joke

I took out a Mechanical Warranty with Dial Direct. My Ford Ranger suffered an EGR cooler failure that led to a blown gasket, resulting in R32,000 in repair costs.

After a three-week delay, Dial Direct offered a settlement of R8,500, suddenly claiming there is a “cap”. This is false. I have reviewed all policy documents and no cap is disclosed anywhere.

The policy clearly states that the total claim aggregate may not exceed the trade value of the vehicle. This does not support a per-claim limit and does not justify the amount offered.

This settlement appears to be arbitrary, misleading, and inconsistent with the policy wording. I formally reject it. I am pursuing legal advice and will escalate this matter as a case of misrepresentation and non-disclosure.
