Just been shafted by good 'ol Dial Direct.

16th of April, had a minor accident where somebody bumped into me from behind as a result of somebody bumping into them. Spoke to Natasha to claim for the damage done. She was nice enough at the time and assisted me through the process. Found out today that my premiums are now going to increase due to dial direct not being able to trace me as the regular driver for a vehicle that my dad owns, and for which I was registered on the policy as being the regular driver of. I cannot seem to understand why this has become a problem now when I have tried to claim for an accident that clearly is not my fault. Why wasn't this checked when I requested insurance from Dial Direct 2 years ago? And why can they not assist when the damages to my car is R12,984.00 and the excess I have to pay in R9620.00. So once I've paid the excess, all Dial Direct has to pay in is R3364.00.Such a small amount for such a large insurance company. You'd think that being a loyal, paying customer that hasn't claimed in 2 years would be assisted just a little bit. But no. Just goes to show, Dial Direct just wants money and will look for ways to take more of yours. <br> Cancelled policy coming up.

Hello #Poorservice,

We have noted that based on the information that you have furnished us at sales stage an incorrect No Claims Bonus was allocated to your monthly premium. This was discovered when we confirmed the underwriting on your policy during your recent claim.

We have arranged for a manager to call you in order to discuss this as well as the excess payable in further detail.

Regards,

The Dialdirect Team
