It does not pay dealing direct

<p>Recently moved to DD from a competitor due to taking over a month to process a claim. Thought I made the right decision, but clearly not.</p> <p><br /> </p> <p>The problem is they wanted me to send them a vehicle inspection certificate. Now my understanding is that for them to reduce their risk in paying out they need proof that the car they are insuring is infact in good condition. Now the car being only a few months old is still new. Apparently they still required one.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />Apart from wanting me to to time off to go and do this, I asked if they can arrange somebody to come and do the inspections.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />They weren't remotely willing to accomodate the idea that I might be busy and its documentation they require to reduce their risk and potential amount payable and was unwilling to help in any way. They just kept beating the same drum ending with my car will only be insured for 3rd part then, even though I'm paying for comprehensive.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would like to congratulate Nwabisa Binase and Jan Wardeck who was no help whatsoever and thank them for motivating me to sign up with another insurance provider.</p>
