If you want *********** insurance, join DialDirect.

On the 31st of December I hit a pothole in the Vaal, on my way to the Free State. The following day I called DialDirect to explain to them what had happened. They told me that the specific department that deals with such queries is closed and I should call them from the 2nd of January.

On the 2nd of January, I called and submitted my claim, and it was approved to the limit of R1000. On the 4th of January, I then went to Tiger Wheel&Tyre in Secunda, where they did an inspection and forwarded it together with the quotation of a new tire.

On the 14th of January, after calling the department which was dealing with my claim, I was then told that claim was rejected due to the fact that the quotation exceeded the cover amount with R31.60, which was due to tax.

I then sent through a complaint to the "Senior Management", who came back to me telling me that they were reviewing the decision. On the 18th of January, they then came back to me asking that I should do another quotation, I obtained another one and forwarded it through to them.

On the 21st, my claim was approved with an excess of R481.19, which I was not informed of when I took the insurance. But, that is not an issue, I am willing to pay that amount for the replacement of my tire. The issue is here, they mentioned that they were going to send through an approval letter to my inbox, for me to present it to the tire replacement company. Till this very day, I have not received it! I called them this morning, before my lunch break, and they promised to send it to me before I get to the fitment centre - they did not deliver to that promise. I travelled 40km's for nothing. I spent my lunch hour waiting like an idiot for an email which they did not send.

I am tired of the back and forth calls with this *********** people. I am tired of driving up and down from Embalenhle to Secunda for something I am not getting. I AM FED UP WITH DAILDIRECT!
