Half painted car comes out of panelbeaters

I was involved in a road rage attack which left my car damaged and the bumper badly scratched due to the fact that, in a panic, I reversed into a palisade fence. My car is white and this bump left large black marks where the paint had come off. I had some touch up paint and painted over them so they would not look so bad.

I went to the assessment centre where the assessor appeared to know what he was doing. I pointed out the the damage, including the bumper to him.

The car was sent to Automagic in Centurion for repair, which took over a month to start with.

When I got home after paying the excess, I noticed the bumper had not been repaired, when I queried this, the so-called assessor had said that it was a "previous defect". Previous defect to what????????? What qualifies these individuals to make assumptions from photos.

I had told this pathetic individual exactly what happened, pointed out ALL the damage that was done including the bumper. Now due to the total inability to hear or speak english or just plain incompetence, I have half a restored car. I suspect that the so-called assessor is all three of the above. I also provided the so-called assessor with a police case number should he wish to inquire as to what happened and the documented damages on my car.

From having a pristine bumper to a damaged bumper which was documented, I have been called a **** because this so-called assessor is under the impression that those were previous defects.

I do not appreciate being called a ****, the car will be fixed, hopefully by someone who does not take over a month to do minor repairs and may I recommend that you send your so-called assessors back on course. Should dialdirect actually bother to do their homework, the case number is 142/7/2018 in Silverton as this is a third party claim.

I would like to know what qualifies an assessor to make decisions without discussing them with me and essentially calling me a lair with apparent previous defects when he knew full well that it was part of the incident. I also did not appreciate the fact that I had to wait two days for the quote to hand to the police.

I have two cars insured with you, if you don''t want the business because you think your clients are *****, fell free to let me know. I expect the car to taken in, given priority because I am not waiting another month and repaired at your cost. I would also like you to explain to me what your idea of client service is.

Reviewer Update
While the car bumper was indeed repaired, I also discovered that the individual who attacked me filed a counter claim for is gate. Had I not phoned for an update, this would have just gone through. This led to yet another fight with Dial Direct as I was never informed. I will give credit to the legal department as when I finally got through to them, they have been very helpful thus far. I do expect a full recovery of money from Outsurance for damages to my car as well and a rejection of any counter claim based on the police report (when it arrives) and the circumstances surrounding the incident. So far, my reviews of Dial Direct have only been positive. I would like this expedited so that I can change this complaint into a compliment.
