Do not insure contents with Dial Direct they will never cover a power surge .Use OUtsurance they are the best

I logged a claim with Dial Direct on the 08th of July 2019. The consultant(Leone Swart ,Ryan Kisten manager ) never called me back with any feedback whatsoever. Today(16/07/2019) after calling and speaking to Avesh i was told my claim will not be paid out and it was not a power surge all the equipment was damaged due to wear and tear except my fish tank pump which was damaged due to power surge(City Power reference confirmed on 7th July) . The worst part of this is the fish tank is 5years old , LG tv is 3years old , ps3 4years old(was tampered with according to technician but he broke the seal when opening device) , wii is 4 years old and switches of after 10 minutes (after surge) and now its not reading disks) and my deep freezer is still within warranty (it was short gas --it now needs a regas ). Assess tec was the company doing the assessment and I have to confirm the assessment was utter *******. The filtration system supp**** to them did not include nosels or pipes as the technician forgot it at my house , so how did they test the pump if it has no on light and the only way is to run it via kick start with nosils in water. This outcome is extremely suspicious as my ps3 seal was never broken nor my Wii /Samsung theatre system. Did the technician take pictures of the devices before making claims it was tampered with. Are the technicians certified to work on fridges and PS3. The guys who did the assessment at my house picked up all the devices and through them into the back of a van and left , no special care of the electronic equipment … Dial Direct will be hearing from my lawyers and this complaint will be sent to the ombudsman. This makes a person realise that outsurance is the best in the business for fairness and honesty , everyone reading this article will understand that dial direct only want money and nothing else they do not care for their clients.

I recently Logged a claim for a power surge with dialdirect after 11 days received a payment of 1000 into my account . I have 6 electronic devices damaged by the surge and 5 devices was damaged by wear and tear/tampered with and one was electrical surge. City Power confirmed power interruption as intermittent . ITs strange that I report all my devices damaged on the same day but only the cheapest device was affected by the surge and the most used.
  • LD47inch 3d led smart tv :15000 ( 5 tvs in my house and this tv is located in spare room and not really in use ) reason for damage was wear n tear
  • Nintendo WII : 6548 ( son is 4 years old , plays maybe one a month(4 games only )i was told it does not read disks and that is due to wear n tear.
  • Sony PS3 :4500 (played twice a month have fifa11 and fifa 14)i was told it was tampered with no evidence or video proof.
  • Freezer : 5500 2years 8 months (wear n tear damages and its a secondary freezer)
  • Tetra Ex1200 Pump : 3300( cheapest device only affected by power surge and not wear and tear despite device being 4 years old and in use 24/7 )
  • Samsung dvd home theatre : 3200 in use everyday...and i was told it was tampered with no evidence or video proof.
Nb: I have appealed the claim and was told to wait 5 days .
For the ten days I have waited the following has happened , I have spoilage of food from freezer to the value of 5500.00 meat purchased from Park butcher.(Being a person of integrity and generosity I decided to hand out meat to all the beggars and people in need as I had no space to store. The consultant Leone Swart never called me once to understand my situation and help me sort out issues instead they kept silent and planned a way to decline my claim and save money..
DO NOT INSURE WITH DIALDIRECT THEY ARE *********

Thank for the feedback .

It is evident that you have missed several questions that I have placed on hello peter as well as telephonically .

The report mentioned tampered items , why did the technician break the seals on my PS3.

How did he determine that an item was tampered with.
