Had my vehicle broken into and various items ******. Included in the list was my sound system, specified at R20,000. Vehicle was purchased second hand from a dealership in PE, with the upgraded sound system already fitted. As is required by law, I has to have the vehicle insured before I could take possession, which is what I done. Once all vehicle details was given to insurer, I was asked if the vehicle had any extras fitted. My response was YES, hence the sound system specified at R20K. Approximately 11 months later, this system is ******, and NOW Dialdirect want invoices for the system. I explained the situation and the fact that I never fitted the sound system myself, but to no avail. I was never asked to present my vehicle for any inspection whatsoever. This is not in dispute. I simply cannot believe the attitude of this service provider. They happily agreed to insure the items, specified by myself. I assume the required premium was religiously deducted each month, but now suddenly there is a problem!! I will be approaching the ombudsman shortly. Meanwhile, all clients and potential clients of Dialdirect - BEWARE - they are not what they pretend to be...
