On the 9th October 2016 my vehicle went for a service at GWM Cape Town Parow Branch. When I collected the vehicle that evening the service advisor told me that they are having a problem with the claim because the vehicle is registered as a petrol vehicle instead of a diesel vehicle on dial direct systems.

As a Dial Direct Client this was very embarrassing because the dealer would not release the vehicle to me without the authorization number and I had to leave my vehicle at GWM because of this claim issue.

I called Dial Direct and they said they will fix it but they need to amend the policy because they quoted me the incorrect premium.

1. The Policy Clearly states that my vehicle is a GWM Steed 5 2.0 VGT P/u D/C

2. Dial Direct told me telephonically that they quoted me incorrectly for this service plan. I'm not sure how this happened as the policy document clearly states that the vehicle is a Diesel Double Cab Pick Up.

3. Because Dial Direct sold me the wrong plan now I’m liable for a shortfall. I disagree because the price I was quoted and on the policy docs is the price I pay”.

4. Dial Direct assured me telephonically that GWM could process the because they rectified their system. That was not the case because when the Dealer called Dial Direct they gave them a pre authorization number and told the Dealer they will resolve the matter with Administration the next day. This was a setback because the Dealer would not release my vehicle to me. So another day without the vehicle.

5. A week before I booked my vehicle in for a Service I called Dial Direct and I asked the agent if everything is in order with my plan for me to take it for a Service and they agent said everything is in order the plan is only active from the 1 November 2016.

6. Why should I get penalized for a shortfall if my Plan clearly states that my vehicle is a Diesel and on Dial Direct system its petrol? Why should I wait another day for me to collect the vehicle when Dial Direct is in the wrong?

7. Am I going to have the same problems when I take my vehicle again for a service in the near future?

8. I was inconvenienced and embarrassed because YOUR sales agent did not do his job correctly.

9. The GWM Service advisor told me that Dial Direct had a problem with the Service catalogue. How can it be, shouldn’t Dial Direct request and receive new Service catalogues on the vehicles that they insure?

10. I made a follow up call on the 16th November 2016 to Dial Direct and the Dial Direct agent confirmed that the vehicle details remains unchanged, I was promised numerous amount of times that Dial Direct will call me back but I received no call backs. Continuously I have to follow up with Dial Direct it should be Dial Direct contacting me to confirm that the vehicle details have been corrected.

Please resolve this problem on all my plan. I hope to get better service from Dial Direct because I have a Motor Plan, Service Plan as well as Motor Cover Plan and I do not want problems like this again on future claims.

Three Months has passes and this case has not been resolved.
